The unit at Loughborough used to be part of ICE (Institute of Consumer
Ergonomics) and they were one of the teams involved in a larger vehicle
occupant study overseen by the TRRL (now TRL) in Crowthorne, Berks. One of
the staff I used to know at ICE was Yommie Otobushin, a really nice bloke.
If anyone knows where he is now, I'd appreciate some contact info.
If anyone wants access to the large amount of data for research purposes,
they could contact the director of the Transport Research Laboratory through
the email links on the TRL website (http://www.trl.co.uk/). Because they
are now privatised, it may be wise to make sure any study proposals are made
with due attention to financial issues !

PS It would be nice if contributors signed off their mailings - there are 3
anon. messages today ! Sad !

The Transport Research Laboratories in Loughborough have collected this
information and have a huge data base of all fatal crashes in the UK. I use
to know some one there but he has left. Maybe David Yates has ccess to that
information
