Dear Sood,
what you describing sounds to me like your patient is suffering
from spinal instability. I am curious as to whether the paitients
click is coming from a facet joint or cv/ct joint. If a hot "burining"
type of pain is described I have found clinically these patients
often have cv/ct dysfunction, and infact have found this common
in women after breastfeeding as a result of prolonged poor posture.
If c/s movements give a t/s click it sound as though the problem
is in the t1-4 area as these are functionally part of the neck.
My suggestion would be to attempt lower trapezius retraining,
pec major/minor releases and stretches (I would not be surprised
if this person is overly tight here from body building), and possibly
deep neck flexor retraining. Improving general thoracic mobility
may also be warrented. If you desire more info on lower traps
exercises please e-mail me. Let me know how you get on.
I hope this has been of some help.
