The University of Pittsburgh invites applications from specialists on
Eastern Europe for a research/ teaching position to commence on 1 September
2000. We will consider specialists in the humanities, social
sciences and in the following professions: Law, Public Health, Public Policy
and Business. The primary appointment will be in the University Center for
International Studies, with a secondary appointment in an
appropriate department or professional school. The position carries both
research and teaching responsibilities, with the balance between them to be
negotiated. Applicants at all ranks will be considered. The initial
appointment will be for a five-year period and will be renewable. An
applicant must submit a current curriculum vitae, a letter stating research
plans and listing courses that the candidate is willing to teach, and the
names and contact information of at least three references.
