I see a lot of internalised disability oppression in some of the responses
so far from this list ... like well, we tried once, and they didnt pay
enough attention to our case, so it's hopeless etc etc
You gotta keep plugging on, keeping up the pressure!!!
And personsally I have found great value in this debate. I've learned from
it, and have complexified my understanding as a result - I'm sure I'm not
the only person in the world who has, but it takes time for ideas to
percolate thru society. A lot of linear arguments like his that are
plausible on paper fade, when you see how incapable their author is of
defending them in the round, or at least in dialogue.
