Yes Mark and all,
It is so wonderful when we, anyone disabled or non-disabled, can find
something to put our heart and soul into. For me the art are that thing.
Weather I'm singing, painting, designing a structure, or creating a quilt
this is when my abilities can be focused on.
As you have said it's not all fun and games being disabled and sometimes it
can be tiring fight for equal rights or respect, but when I sing I can escape
and fly like an eagle. And that is all we what, to be able to do the things
that make us happy. this happiness can come form simple things such as going
shopping without arranging for help because the doors are to heavy at the
store or there are not properly designed shopping cart. I want to go to the
bank and be able to see over the counter because we have the right to not let
other handle our money, but if the counter is to high I must depend on
others.
Take care,
Jude
