MALTS: Web Development Officer
The Media and Learning Technology Service (MALTS) was established in August
1998. The Learning Technology section seeks an experienced web
designer/author to join a multidisciplinary team which supports departments
across the University in the creation and implementation of web-based and
other electronic materials. The Learning Technology team liases with
academic and other staff, taking an active role in promoting the use of
technology throughout the university, and developing materials in
collaboration with departments.
The successful candidate is likely to be a graduate with at least 3 years
experience of web-authoring in a higher education environment. They will be
able to apply their skills in a wide range of disciplines and will be adept
at devising solutions for a variety of situations. Creativity and
innovation will be encouraged. They will sometimes be expected to work as
an individual, sometimes as part of a project team, and sometimes as the
leader of small projects. They must feel comfortable working in a dynamic
environment, being able to prioritise tasks and when necessary able to work
under pressure.
The appointment will be for two years in the first instance. Salary will be
on AD2 scale £18,915 - £24,479.
