ACTIVE LEARNING 10 -
TECHNOLOGIES FOR TEACHING: REFLECTING STUDENT LEARNING NEEDS
The new issue of Active Learning is now available. Its theme is
"Technologies for teaching: reflecting student learning needs".
Meeting the needs of an increasingly diverse student body is a major
challenge for today’s academics, one in which new technology can and
does play a major part. Computer-based and online learning tools have
often been designed with an independent student user in mind, to be
browsed and worked through at their own pace. The success or failure of
these student-centred approaches, which can be due to many complex and
interacting factors, explored in this issue.
Active Learning is free to academic staff in higher education
institutions funded by HEFCE, SHEFC, HEFCW or DENI and is available on
subscription to other readers. If you do not already receive a copy you
can subscribe online at http://www.cti.ac.uk/publ/actlea/subscribe.html
