Bettina,
As a novice myself, I appreciated your message. I am currently
involved in a nurse initiated research project regarding the quality of life
of seniors living in nursing homes and other long-term care facilities.
Using qualitative data analysis we are interested in identifying the
priorities and concerns of residents. We are also using NUD*ist and are
quite unfamiliar with the program. Some of our questions include how to
determine inter-rater reliability using NUD*ist and how to use the "reports"
effectively.
On a whole, I have found NUD*ist to be quite user friendly.

Hi there!
Just a short response to Annette's email to the list:

I am new to this list, and I am a strong advocate of qualitative research
and definitly very interested in applying s/w that could assist in analysing
data. I would appreciate discussions around qualitative s/w!! :-)

We are starting an integrated research project in South Africa, with a
qualitative component focusing on rural livelihoods. We are thinking of
using NUD*IST, but are inexperienced so far. So if anybody is out there who
has experience in this field it would be great if you could share this with
us!
We will share our experiences once we got started.
Kind regards,
Bettina
