I visited Escomb in summer 98 and bought a postcard and some
guidebooks with pictures. It stands alone on a relatively small chunk
of land (with graves) in the middle of a traffic circle surrounded by
modern row houses and pub/restaurant (where I had a nice Sunday dinner
after a damp hike through fields and hedgerows).
If I get a chance, I will scan the pictures, but I don't know if I
can post them publicly. I am not sure how you can get copies of the
materials I picked up short of visiting yourself, since the site is
untended (you get the key from one of the houses and let yourself in;
purchases are on the honor system). The church is still in use, but I
don't see a parish address on any of the items I purchased. David
Rollason at Durham University, who kindly lent me his walking guide to
get there, might be able to give you more information.
