J. T. Morris & Colin A Russell, *Archives of the British Chemical Industry,
1715-1914: a handlist* BSHS Monograph 6, 1988. This lists numerous sites for
which records have survived.
Also there is useful material in A & N Clow's *The Chemical Revolution*, c
1950, though this is biased towards Scottish chemical history.
