I would like to thank all those who responded, including
Lennard Davis, who shared with us a very, very painful
experience.

Yes, that is the case.
Now I have learnt about another case in which a deaf person
was killed in a traffic accident and the driver
was senteced to one year with three years' suspension.
In the following suit over the damage, the driver
is claiming that the average years of work for
a disabled person in the company the victim
was working for was 15 years, so the damage
should be calculated on this, not on 40 years
for the non-disabled workers.
