I believe Rachel found the key point: Should DC be seen as an "end in itself"
or should we encourage people to also use other schemes, also?
It seems to me that DC should serve two purposes: 1) to give creators some
guidance to ensure minimal access to their sites and 2) to be the glue that
binds other formats together.
If we begin to revise DC based on "many audiences find [blank] a useful means
of discovery," there will be no end to it.
Again, the DC User's guide should give instructions and suggestions for
creators when they confront such issues. But I believe that revising DC is not
the way to go.
