Hi Rachel, Liddy, Erik, Bill and all,
I, too, feel very strongly about the use of "audience" as a qualifier, but
I feel this should be attached to DC.Subject to qualify the level of the
subject being dealt with. This is especially important with regard to
educational materials and DC.Description would also be a place to put
audience, but perhaps not as useful for filtering as DC.Subject.
I also think there should be an authorized list of fairly standard terms
(such as in DC.Type) to define "audience." --
I almost feel I shouldn't say anymore, since I have been pushing this issue
since before Helsinki, but I really see its necessity and that is also why
I felt that the Subdes-combination of working groups should be having a
meeting at DC 7. Rachel, I hope you don't mind. I am also copying to the
dc-education list for this reason.
