It may be that there are different goal/areas of study that different
journals cover HOWEVER the must be a basic standard for refereeing
(e.g. asking for changes, clarification if the material is not
understood, calling in other referees if need be) for any peer review
journal. This just wasn't followed in the Sokal case, which makes you
wonder how many other times it wasn't carried out.
