Naples is a case in point: shouldn't we be rather grateful that geographers
have in the past not had enough influence or power as to decide which
places are worthwhile staying and living at... the idea of relocating a
place like Naples (to a place like Birmingham?) sounds slightly selfish to
me, at best. :-)
(This could be turned into a more general argument about perceived risks,
quality of life and the expert/lay knowledge divide...)
