Project Officer: ASTER Project - Assisting small-group teaching through
electronic resources
Applications are invited for a full-time Project Officer post on the ASTER
Project, based within the CTI Centre for Psychology and funded under the
Teaching and Learning Technology Programme (Phase 3). The post is available
for one year initially although the project is anticipated to receive
funding until September 2001.
ASTER is a cross-disciplinary consortium project led by the University of
York and with partners at three other Universities. The aim of the project
is to establish and disseminate principles of good practice in the use of
C&IT for small-group teaching across a range of discipline areas (including
Physics, Psychology and areas of the Humanities). The project has been
running for one year, and we are seeking a person both to take a lead in
the Psychology discipline and to take responsibility for the day-to-day
management of aspects of the project.
The successful applicant will hold graduate or postgraduate qualifications
in Psychology or Education and will have experience of, and an interest in,
the teaching of Psychology, including the use of educational technology.
Good communication and organisational skills are essential. He or she will
join a team within CTI Psychology involved in a range of projects relating
to the use of educational technology within psychology.
Salary within the range of: £16,286 - £24,479 per annum.
