The International Teledemocracy Centre
The International Teledemocracy Centre researches and applies advanced
information and communication technologies (ICT) to enhance and
support the democratic decision-making process. It is focusing on ICT
for consultation and participation providing support for parliamentary
processes, policy formulation and political communication. Napier
University established the Centre in August 1999 in partnership with
BT Scotland. Visionaries with a strong background in ICT and an
understanding of parliamentary democracy are now sought.
RESEARCH ASSOCIATE
£20,107 p.a. (fixed point)
You will take a leading role in the research and application of
advanced ICT tools, techniques and methods to further the advancement
of the democratic process. You will be used to working with domain
experts from private, public or voluntary organisations. You will have
a good honours degree and research experience related to Computer
Science and Artificial Intelligence. With strong oral and written
skills you should be able to contribute to the publication base of the
Centre.
