CALL FOR PAPERS
The MICAI Program Committee invites submissions of technical papers for
the Mexican International Conference on Artificial Intelligence which is
to be held in Mexico City, by April 10-14, 2000. MICAI is the merging of
the Mexican Meeting on AI (RNIA) the International Symposium on AI
(ISAI) and the will be run as an international conference with an
international Programme Committee. The proceedings will be published by
Springer-Verlag in their Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence
series. Papers in Spanish will be accepted and printed by a national
publisher
The scientific program includes invited lectures, paper presentations,
tutorials, panels and workshops. The conference is devoted to all areas
of Artificial Intelligence and will cover both theoretical/foundational
issues and applications as well.
Original papers are solicited in all areas of Artificial Intelligence,
including but not limited to:

Applications may include the innovative use of AI Technologies in areas
such as Business and Commerce, Banking and Finance, Manufacturing and
Engineering, Telecommunications, Sustainable Development, Energy and
Environment, Education, Conatruction and other areas
IMPORTANT DATES:
Submission Deadline: October 30, 1999
Notification of Acceptance or Rejection: December 15, 1999
Camera-Ready Copy: January 15, 2000
SUBMISSION DETAILS
Submitted papers must be written in English and describe original work
not previously published.
Submissions must not exceed 15 pages, including title page,
figures, and references. The title page must contain: title
and authors; physical and e-mail addresses; an abstract of no
more than 200 words; a list of keywords.
Paper should be formatted according to Springer's LNAI format,
details of which can be obtained from

Authors are invited to send manuscripts by electronic mail to

REVIEW OF PAPERS
Submissions will be judged on significance, originality,
quality and clarity. Each paper will be cross-reviewed by
three referees.

Proposals for tutorials, half a day or full day, should cover timely
