As list owner a few list members have asked me to intervene about current
threads.
Yes I agree there is not much to be gained from slagging each other off and
it is against the principles of the list.
However a number of contributors have made valid points about how service
provision and training can best be provided and balanced in emergency
departments.
I think these type of comments are very helpful and appropriate for the list
and are probably, in some cases, raising better points than were raised at
the combined BAEM/Faculty meeting in June about shaping the future.
So please let us continue the DISCUSSION about how best we can balance
service provision training and academic pursuits in emergency medicine.
