This is purely anectodal but I have had some good results with TENS for this
type of pain. It is important to note
1)Do not place electrodes directly over an anaesthetic or hypersensitive
stump
2) start gently as there is the potential for the pain to be made worse
initially
3)the longer, rectangular electrodes are a good investment as if you are
using a paravertebral placement of electrodes, they cover more nerve roots
