Dear Sophie,
I believe conceeded in my original e-mail, that not everything can be
proved. However some treatments and techniques are used with out even using
some common sense. Even if we can not find all the answers, we should be
asking the questions. It is not a slight on our profession that we use
techniques we can completely justify but that we keep using them with little
or no thought.
As for the effects of communication and the power of the mind, I think
you'll find there is a wealth of information on these factors. I am not
suggesting that one can treat only the body with no attention to one's state
of mind.
