The following three jobs in the Academic Services Group have been
advertised today.

Email/Intranet Project Manager
To manage a major project to replace the University's current email
system and enhance its intranet. You will need the experience and
commitment to move us into the next generation of electronic
communication and information delivery across the University's
research, teaching, administration and business areas. Understanding
of web based technology and email systems also required.
Salary to £30k. Three year appointment in first instance.

Web-Server/Service Administrator
To develop and maintain University web servers and services for
internet and intranet purposes covering teaching, learning, research
and administration.
High level of skills in internet technologies required, including
perl, CGI, UNIX, etc, and experience of providing robust and secure
web services. Understanding of editorial and development issues,
planning ability and good communication skills.
Salary to £24k or £30k depending on experience.

Computer Based Assessment & Data Analysis Officer
To develop a modern and responsive service for computer based
assessment and analysis.
Data analysis skills, knowledge of statistical packages (SPSS) and
good technical and communication skills required. Experience in
education, awareness of current techniques and web-based systems, and
ability to manage a service also necessary.
Salary to £24k or £30k depending on experience. Three year appointment
in first instance. Please quote reference 2/5B/99.
