I accept that Stephen, in the second message below, may have some very valid
points, questions and doubts -especially his points which relate to the
help needed to get the user started with a software program. But I think
discussion on this list is just as much about the exploration of other
related software and resources as it is about supporting those needing to
know about the well established, tried and tested programs. Also not all
users have the benefit and resources of an informed IT department, like
Stephen's, who are providing thorough support of at least one software
package for QDA.
Users who DO for instance have Linux or other suitable operating systems
might very well be interested in such exploration and experimentation and I
think its quite nice that Juhapekka is taking the time to point out other
possibilities for the rest of us to investigate - if we are interested.
Microsoft may be 'all' to some of us but not to all of us.
