SPORTS INJURIES MANAGEMENT; THE KNEE - SATURDAY 11th SEPTEMBER 1999
MANCHESTER SCHOOL OF PHYSIOTHERAPY
Sports Injuries Management is a new series of one day and evening courses
that focus on sporting injuries in relation to different areas of the body.
The courses are run by the National Sports Medicine Institute of the UK
(NSMI) in partnership with the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in
Sports Medicine (ACPSM) and have been tailored to meet the specific needs of
chartered physiotherapists and all other NHS approved healthcare
professionals involved or interested in sport.
Sports Injuries Management: the knee is a one day course that will be held
at Manchester School of Physiotherapy.
Theoretical sessions will focus on clinical anatomy of the knee joint and
mechanisms of knee injuries. Practical session will provide 'hands on'
experience of the assessment and treatment of knee injuries from pitchside
to final rehabilitation.

Mandy Johnson (Senior lecturer for The Football Association, 1999
Physiotherapist for the England Athletics Squad)
Lynn Booth (Chief Physiotherapist at 1996 Olympic Games for the Britain
Olympic Team)
Zoe Hudson (Senior lecturer at The University of East London,
Physiotherapist for Great Britain Swimming Team (able and disabled
bodied),World Championship 1998, Europeans 1999), GB squad World University
games 1999.

Fee includes all sessions, lunch, morning and afternoon refreshments.
