Hi,
Your site is very interesting.
UK not interested in History?
Every city, town & village seems to have its band of devoted amateurs, in
our case it includes quite a high proportion of retired scientists. We have
a lecture by a local or distant expert every week in winter, spring & early
summer. Etc etc....!
Then there is the large number of publications, from those of Philimore to
the many local journals and newsletters, the BALH andso on. Don't count the
Old Country out yet.
yet.
I wonder if it is that, as it is retired folk who have time for 'doing'
Local History, they
are slow, like me, in getting onto the Net (I think I'm the only one out of
a very 'intellectual' Group who is actually on)
Best wishes,
Gerard McSweeney
