I'm not quite sure as to what you're referring exactly, that is whether
Verlan is a word play, or if you're inquiring about metathesis. If indeed
it is the latter, this is quite a common phenomenon in Italo-Romance
dialects. At the level of word play, however, I'm not aware of such trends
in Italian.
