You've already seen my public response. TI has fucked up every major
consumer technology it's ever touched, and I'm afraid it means the death
of Derive. Derive (and its predecessor muMath) is a bright spots in the
world of computer algebra, and I hate to see it get swallowed up.
I owned exactly one Texas Instruments calcular, an SR-58. I switched to HP
after that and never looked back. I am seriously considering an HP-49G
(the new one). Maple and Mathematica are pigs; I wouldn't be caught dead
running either of them. Oh, well, I've got my Derive 4.11 on my Toshiba
Libretto and I'll give it up when they pry my cold dear fingers off of it.

If they named a street after Picabo Street, would it be called Picabo
Street, Street Street or Picabo Street Street?
