CHANGE MANAGEMENT COURSE FOR PRIMARY CARE
This Autumn, the Wisdom Centre for Networked Learning at Sheffield
University's Departmenty of General Practice, is offering a FREE
course in the generic skills of Change Management designed for
primary care professionals getting to grips with
PCGs and clinical governance, and using a general practice as a case
study.
For more details, either e-mail:

or return the slip from the attached course flyer.
For this run, there will be no course fees, but we will ask
participants to complete pre- and post- questionnaires and provide
feedback to help us evaluate the course material.
The course will be delivered as seven modules via the Internet,
starting mid-September at fortnightly intervals. We recommend about
four hours study per week for maximum benefit. This covers working
through the modules, reading and reflecitve / self assessment
exercises. You will not need to be logged on for the four hours, as,
depending on your computer, you should be able to down load the
course material in a few minutes and then work through it at times of
your own choosing. There will be no face-to-face meetings, but a
tutor will be available on e-mail. Likewise, you can compose your
e-mail, and then just log on to send it.
We encourage you to keep a portfolio of your educational experiences
while doing the course.
The modules will be:
*Why manage change
*Organization in context
*Building quality into an organization
*Strategic analysis
*Strategic choice
*Strategic implementation
*Planning for change
If you have any colleagues in primary
care with Internet and e-mail access who may be interested, please
pass on the message as we are still recruiting.
