She will try to push off in dorsiflexion if she is not wearing her AFO's.
During stance & pushoff she will actually supinate the foot to avoid toe
contact giving her an ataxic appearing gait. With AFO's which do not allow
her supination, she will flex at the hips to avoid toe contact at stance
phase and then hyperextend at the spine. She does make some contact
eventually but it is not full weight bearing and it is very brief and it is
not consistant. I am not sure if this is all from a plantar grasp or not.
But I think it may be in part.
