Dear listmembers,
At this moment I am positively struggling with two fundamental
theoretical question:
1) WHY HAS THE BEHAVIOURAL LOCATION THEORY LOST ITS
POPULARITY AFTER THE 1980S?
2) WHAT IS THE EXPLANATION OF THE RECENT BY SOME
AUTHORS StRESSED 'REVITALIZATION OF THE BEHAVIOURAL
LOCATION THEORY'? Wins for example urgues that "we have to
pay much more attention than in the past to actual location
processes. These processes are defined as the sequence of
actions and decisions by a firm from the initial decision to look for
a possible new location to the ultimate choice...it is very difficult to
understand the redistribution of spatial activities without some
knowledge of the processes governing its evolution".
I appreciate it if people could assist me answering these questions
or give suggestions to clarify the questions. Besides, literature and
other suggestions are off course always welcome.
People interested in firm location choice research are off course
welcome to e-mail me for questions or further details about my
research.
With kind regards,
