I have no problem with that - the use of an 'external' stick is fine if
done in a planned and gentle manner - it is when the computer itself
becomes the stick that the users learn to hate it/circumvent it

Superb
HTML/XML is the way to go - any front end brower can be used - this
stuff is searchable and can be indexed with hyperlinks, hyperlinks,
hyperlinks....
I am writing our practice intranet at present - it contains *all*
documents - contracts, greivance procedure, complaints, security
protocols, library index, links out to the internet (Medline etc), all
training documents, tutorial evaluations on forms that get
electronically submitted, suggestion box - etc, etc, etc
I am a clinician with a little techo knowledge and a lot of committment
- hospitals have whole IT depts but sadly dont seem to manage to do this
stuff - perhaps it is time to go ask some questions.......
