Hi all
You should now be used to apologetic mails from me so here's another
one to add to the collection. As the saying goes, there's many a slip
twixt cup and lip and this appears to be true of the latest
Notework (May 99) which I hope has landed on a doormat or in a
pigeonhole near you in the recent past. Somewhere in our highly
technical production process the photos by Katarzyna Korzeniecka
seem to have disappeared ... I do apologize for this and will use
them in the next issue ...
Hope you liked it anyway, even without the photos!
Jo
What we desire and need is not only "to hunt in
the morning, fish in the afternoon, rear cattle
in the evening, criticise after dinner ... without
ever becoming hunter, fisher ... shepherd or critic".
We also desire and need sometimes to cook and clean,
sometimes to make babies and raise children, and
often, spontaneously, to play with our bodies, with
ourselves, and with other women, men, and children,
without ever becoming "only a housewife",
"somebody's mother", "the head of the household"
or perpetual children." (Alison Jaggar)
