Hi from New Zealand
I've been quietly lurking for a while trying to pick up the gist of your
thread and reluctant to interrupt. However, interrupt I must, as I do have
a question which you may be able to help me with. I'm doing an MBS research
paper this year, the subject of which is web design, or more particularly,
web designers. My focus is on the disabled, (physically, hearing and sight
impaired and so on) and whether they are being catered for in the area of
web design. I am aware of the standards set down by W3C and that these are
being adopted by the USA and UK. What I am curious to know, is whether
there has been research in the area of web design for the disabled. So far,
my research and inquiries have drawn a blank, especially in this part of
the world.
By the way, I'm what is euphemistically called a 'mature' student, studying
extra-murally through Massey University in Palmerston North.
Regards
Ted Fox
