Dear Carolyn,
You are making some assumptions. I do not speak for all parents, I am not
that arrogant. I am expressing a culture of caring that I have found in my
family, and in many others, but certainly not claim to be universal. I also
do not suffer from the delusion that because others do not believe what I
do, that I then should revel in feelings of guilt and original sin. I rather
believe that if I do as I say and say as I do, I may lead by example, rather
than get lost in the permutations of other people's opinions.
have a good weekend, rgds John
