Since I have studied the issue of abuse and disability for a number of
years, I offer the following resources on the subject.
Dick Sobsey published a book "Violence & Abuuse in the Lives of People with
Disabilities."
My doctoral dissertation was on the abuse of women with disabilities and
showed that most abuse is by a parent, advocate, or care giver.
Dr. Margaret Nosek at Baylor' University's Center for Women with
Disabilities has also published several articles on abuse.
