The Survey Methods Centre at the National Centre for Social Research will
be holding a SURVEY METHODS SEMINAR on 16 September 1999 in London, from
2pm to 5.30.
The topic of the seminar is SURVEY DATA QUALITY.
There will be four presentations, plus ample time for discussion. The
presentations are:
- The Threat of Satisficing in Surveys: The Shortcuts Respondents Take in
Answering Questions (Professor Jon Krosnick, Ohio State University)
- Optimising Questionnaire Design: How to Maximise Data Quality (Professor
Jon Krosnick, Ohio State University)
- The Impact of Computer-Assisted Self-Interviewing on Data Quality (Bob
Erens and Sally McManus, National Centre for Social Research)
