Hi,
I am a research fellow at the Centre of Institutional Studies,
University of East London. We are currently working on the
Thames Gateway Youth football project, aimed at enhancing,
through football, young peoples' confidence and self - esteem, and
to help change behaviour and attitudes towards school and society.
The programme includes a truancy scheme and a probation
scheme. At CIS, we are responsible for monitoring and evaluating
such schemes and are very aware of the need to develop
appropriate sensitive research methodologies. Can anyone
suggest published papers, relevant literature, ideas on research
methods in evaluating such schemes (or any other similar
schemes) particularly around the notion of monitoring the impact
on young peoples' attitudes, behaviour, confidence and self
esteem. What method/s would be best suited to measuring such
change, if any. Thanks for any assistance.
