Oscillations, in theory, fire large diameter nerve fibers thus "closing the
gate" on pain transmission and also, in theory, stimulate the release of
endogenous opiates. When done correctly, they should not irritate or
inflame. They are intended to be used during the acute/subacute phase of
injury. My experience has been that they can be quite effective.

I seek information on the subject of "effect of
vibration on
tissue".Manual vibration was used by Kellgran a Swedish physio and even by
Dr.Edgar Cyriax father of famous James Cyriax.A lot of massagers are seen
in the market which are sold to the patients with many promises of
wonders.
what possible effects could vibration have on
inflamed tissue
except irritating it further, vibrations whether manual or by a vibrator
what effect they have on pain?
thanking you all
