Have you tried 'The Clerical Guide, which was published between 1817 &
1836 - a sort of predecessor of Crockfords? Also try the Alumni Oxoniensis &
its Cambridge equivalent.
Hope this helps.

Subject: 1835 Clerics London/Cornwall
Hello list members
Can anyone help me with any information about these three clerics :-
1) Reverend T. Simpson Evans - Old Brompton, London 1835...who wrote
"....also to my Excellent friend ..."
2)the Vicar, the Venble. Archdeacon Pott, whose Curate I was for about 7
years.
and
".....
P.S. I believe I ought to add that our Vicar is probably now on a visit
with
3) his nephew, the Revd Percival Frye at Lostwithiel in Cornwall."
Any information would be gratefully received
