Dear List Member,
To mark the 1999 Library Association / Emerald Intelligence +
Fulltext Public Relations and Publicity Awards, you are invited
to participate in a pre-ceremony online discussion.
Robert Usherwood, Professor of Librarianship at Sheffield
University, will convene the debate, which is centred around
4 main topics:
- How can new technology be used to promote library and
information organisations?
- What are the publics' perceptions of library and information
services?
- What are desirable outcomes for library and information
organisations?
- Should library services contribute to the political objectives of
their organisations?
You can find the full introductory posting for each of these issues at:
http://www.mcb.co.uk/services/conferen/webforum/pprg-liblink-forum/
The discussion is free for everyone, and your experiences and
opinions are welcome. To make sure you keep up to date with
