The announcement of the AAIS 2000 conference in the Spring 1999 number of
_Il gonfaloniere_ gives 26 September 1997 as the deadline for submitting
the titles of proposed sessions to the conference organizers; I think we
can safely assume that they meant 1999 :-) The list of proposed sessions
will appear in the Fall 1999 number of _Il gonfaloniere_; the deadline for
intending speakers to submit proposals for papers to the session organizers
is 30 November. _Il gonfaloniere_ is not currently available online; to
get a copy, join the AAIS by sending US$20 to Professor Cinzia Donatelli
Noble, AAIS Treasurer, French & Italian, Brigham Young University, Provo,
UT 84602, U.S.A. (You'll need to be a member of the AAIS by 15 February
2000 to participate in the conference anyway.)
