Dear all
I have been doing a CAT on the only RCT I have been able to locate on the
use of hyperbaric oxygen in treatment of chronic leg ulcers. Unfortunately,
the data is reported as continuous data (average % change of ulcer size from
baseline in each arm), rather than a dichotomous outcome such as proportions
healed.
The methodology is reasonable, but when it comes to analysing the results, I
am unsure about how to proceed. Would I treat the differences as two
proportions, and calculate absolute and relative risk differences; or do I
use some other procedure; or do I just forget it. Anybody's help would be
much appreciated.
