"Reasonably" appealing reports could be "The Slug and Lettuce Group plc" and "Groupe Chez Gerard plc"...both food and drink companies with glossy pictures...before you get to the financial parts. You can order from Wall Street Journal Europe and you can visit their address on www.icbinc.com/cgi-bin/wsjeu.pl or the WSJE Annual reports service at Westmead House, 123 Westmead Road, Sutton, Surrey. SM14JH. I have obtained a number of reports from WSJE but the service is similar to the FT.

Has anyone got any ideas about useful company annual reports that
students would find particularly appealing - I know this appears a
contradiction in terms and some teachers recommend not using them but
I used to be aware of some companies that made an effort with their
annual communication to the general public.
Does anybody know of recent ones that are orderable from the FT
service?
E.G. does Young's Breweries still present their Balance sheet in the
form of photos of pints of beer? I used to (in a previous life) work
for an Anglo French joint venture where the French parent used to
publish their annual report liberally sprinkled with Tintin-esque
space station cartoons - this was a firm in heavy engineering that
made the TGV and power stations!
Do we have any worthwhile annual reports that would provide a talking
point for a class on a wet Tuesday afternoon? Reports that do things
differently as opposed to well known names is really what is needed.
Anyone please let me know!
