Postgraduate Research in population geography
UNDERSTANDING URBAN AND RURAL POPULATIONS

A half-day session on the broad theme of "Understanding urban and
rural populations" will be convened at the RGS/IBG conference in
January 2000. This two-module session will be given by postgraduate
researchers (graduate students) in population studies.
It is hoped that the sessions will include a variety of topics on
urban and rural population geographies and a number of approaches to
the study of population geography, including inter- and
transdisciplinary approaches.
Prospective participants are invited to send a proposal with the
folowing details:

* address,
* e-mail address
* telephone number,
* title of paper, and
* abstract of no more than 250 words.
The deadline for submitting a proposal is 1st July 1999.
