Hi,
The virus that was attached to that attachment was a Word Macro virus.
It is a fairly common form and not that new. Most anti-virus software
should be able to recognise and deal with it.
It will only have been activated if you opened the file (in Word).
If you did, you may/should have been prompted as to the presence of a
macro and asked if you wanted to activate it. If you said 'No', you have
no problem.
Simply - if you opened it, you should now run a decent anti-virus software
application across your PC - making sure it is checking for macro viruses.
If you did not open it, you have NO problem [other than any viruses that
mayhave already been on your system :-) ].
