Dear all
Yes Steven - the last bit was meant to be humorous. I took the line
that I did in order to stir things up a little - deliberate
provocation is the term fashionably used I think.
The points raised by yourself, Sarah, Caitriona, John et al are
important but what I was doing was raising the issue of
prioritisation and of political action. Can't help the Marxist roots
I suppose...
I used the term of activity instead of sport purposively there are
many reasons for 'leisure' activity - association, kudos, fitness
etc all of which need exploring and setting in their political
context. My fusillade is obviously and ironically partial...
Yours in the spirit of debate.
Gavin
