Does anyone have any experience of using LCD flat panel monitors?
I intend to purchase some, because I need them to act as a monitor for
lecturers to use in multimedia rooms, while the signal is beamed via a video
projector to the front of the room. I intend to enclose them in a secure
box: LCD flat panel monitors are attractive because they are small, which
reduces the size of the box, and they should not heat up and start a fire if
they are left on accidentally.
No one at my university has bought one, so all I have is specifications and
photographs in catalogues - and prices vary widely. Hearing of any
experience with particular manufactures (good bad or indifferent), may help
the purcasing decision. Failing that, I might just buy the cheapest I can
find...
