There is quite considerable evidence of this now - although the
gathering of data is obviously problematical and like anything else
assertions are being cast round for political reasons. It is however
possible to pick your way through this with care.
Although this is not my area and I do not pretend to understand the
chemistry etc I have been in contact with colleagues in Canada
and Belgrade who do! Much of this is being collated by Janet Eaton
- we are working quite closely on this and much of this is being
placed on our campaign website:
http://www.BalkanPeaceNetwork.freeserve.co.uk
At present most of the material relates to the effects of bombing
the Pancevo area (for obvious reasons) and the use of Depleted
Uranium. There is also a discussion list for DU but I'm not sure how
to subscribe. You could try mailing Janet as well
<[log in to unmask]> .
I'm also forwarding to you separately, not to the lists, Janets latest
posting on this.
As to on-line archives there are many - but tend to specialise and
obviously have many gaps. One of the most impressive I've seen is
a collection of all newsitems and the like relating to the Racak
massacre. Our site carries a number of articles, as does
http://www.zmag.org. (which highlights Chomsky's contributions
particularly). The Federation of American Scientists website
http://www.fas.org has a good collection of information on battle
orders, DU links, the paramilitaries and so on. There is much
information - most reliable from reputable sources and a
considerable quantity of typical internet rumour!
Hope this helps
