CHANGING FRAMEWORKS IN HEALTH AND WELFARE
A Two-Year Part-time Masters/Diploma for managers to promote multi-agency working across the public, private and voluntary sectors
To start in September 1999

The focus of this new course is on promoting multi-agency working between health, social care, justice and local government organisations in the public, private and voluntary sectors.
What you get from the course
It will develop your capacity to -
· understand and influence the rapidly changing policy context;
· "hear" the voice of service users;
· find appropriate forms of dialogue with diverse sets of publics;
· promote effective inter-agency and inter-professional collaboration;
· work with different and competing organisational practices and cultures;
· be an effective agent of change both within your own and other agencies;
· understand the new demands placed upon professional practitioners;
· facilitate the restructuring of public service organisations;
· re-define the concept of a public service ethos.

Entry requirements
· A good honours degree, or equivalent professional qualification;
· Two years in a managerial role.
