Papers will be presented by 60 contributors who are researchers, academics,
teachers, youth workers, community educators, youth crime specialists, arts
workers, community service managers. The themes covered by these papers
include: international perspectives on social exclusion; subcultures and
marginality; young people and the labour market; health inequalities;
disaffection; failing at school; youth crime; schanging school
cultures; empowering methodologies for work with marginalised young
people; youth consultation, participation and decision making;
citizenship; educational youth work; inclusive social policy;
partnerships; and reaching the most vulnerable.
The presenters of papers are from USA, Australia, Israel, Netherlands,
Germany, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England.
